ProGossip is founded to content the articls posted on "Gossiping Board" on ptt, the most popular BBS site in Taiwan. BBS is considered old-fashioned by inputing text commands rather than clicking on a world wide web. However, by ints nature, bbs can be operated smoothly even at slow connection and the users are often highly-educated. Hence, the users provide insightful facts across various kinds ot topics.
The articles on bbs sites are undetectable for search engines like Google, which is only capable of crawling HTML-based web sites. Consequetly, nonbbs users are prevented from accessing the brilliant works, thus this site is founded for extending availability of greater part of the Internet.
Only around 20,000 posts are allowed on Gossiping Board at any given time. The older posts will automatically be deleted when the number of posts exceeding the limitation. Thus, the average life-span of a certain post is about a month. Then it will dispear in the world of the Internet without the possibility of recovery.
